Happy Chinese New Year. Some safety tips for you…

by admin on Jan.25, 2009, under Friends, My story, society

Wooo….hooo….Chinese New Year is around the corner again. Gong Xi Gong Xi!!!

Unlike previous years, instead of getting angpows, I’m giving out angpows. Those who are interested, feel free to come and visit me. :D

Anyway, I’m think you will definately agree with me if I say Chinese New Years isn’t about angpow alone. I’m sure a lot of you (my friends) will be leaving KL for your hometown (balik kampung) to celebrate this auspicious event with your family.

But before you go back, remember to keep all your doors and windows lock, your auto-timer lights switched on, your neighbours or security guards informed (if you trust them…hehe) that you are leaving house for a couple of days. In addition to that, perhaps there’s no harm taking an extra step by informing your local authorities too. SMS them:

 SMSPOLISKL<space>BK<space>YOUR ADDRESS<space>HOLIDAY DATE send it to 32728

One more very important info:

POLIS KL HOTLINE:  03-2115 9999 (remember to save this no. into your mobiles)

Other states Police Headquarters HOTLINE: http://www.rakancop.net/HubungiKami/tabid/100/Default.aspx

Lastly, have a safe journey home and may you have a happy and prosperous chinese new year friends!

My and my hubby have just collected our pre-wedding photos and video. We went to RedBliss @ SS2. We really enjoyed the photo session, and the photos and videos turn up satisfiable too. Staffs service are undeniably at an excellent level. A strongly recommended wedding gallery I would say.

We’ve already uploaded those to our wedding page. You can check it out at: www.mywedding.com/sunnyandjessica. Feel free to leave us your wedding blessings at our guestbook. Enjoy…

Chess Competition for the Disabled - How the Blind, Deaf and the Orthopaedically Handicapped play chess

by admin on Mar.06, 2008, under My story

The Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur Central has been constantly supportive towards their commitments on organizing the Chess Competition for the Disables. This is my 3rd time to help out in this event. This time, like the previous, the competition was held at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur.

This would be the 12th Chess Competition for the Disables. A lot of people must be wondering…how can the blinds, the deafs and the disables compete with each other in a chess game. Let me show you how:

I can assure you, they really have impressive chess skills that even we can’t challenge them. The most important lesson to learn from them is of course not only on thier skills, but a high respect and tribute goes to all of the participant on their spirit to live life in despite of the imperfection that they have never asked for. Their positive attitude is definitely something all of us should learn.

My Handphone was stolen - Goodbye to my 3 weeks old Sony Ericsson K770i

by admin on Feb.17, 2008, under My story, Technology

images.jpg

I got this phone 3 weeks back and now IT’S GONE…

It all happened in 5 minutes. I went to Watson, Midvalley today. While shopping, I took out my handphone to reply my SMS, then I put my phone back into my handbag and continue shopping. When I was checking out some stuff at the accessories shelf, all of a sudden, came A GROUP OF YOUNG MALAY GIRL, AGED BETWEEN 16-20 (about 5 of them) cramping the same shelf. Suffocated by these group of people swamping at the same area, me and my mom left that area and went straight to the counter. When I took out my wallet from my handbag I realized that my handphone wasn’t there anymore.

Based on mom’s analysis, she said I must have been marked by them when I checked my SMS while shopping. Then it’s their strategy to come in a group and squeeze, allowing them to steel stuff from your bag when you are not alert.

Further to that, according to some of the staff there, it has happened for a few time there and it’s common to lost your handphone and some times in worst case, wallets. We have to be AWARE OF PICKPOCKET. Try to AVOID BEING INTO SITUATIONS WHEREBY UNKNOWN GROUP OF STRANGER SURROUNDS YOU all of a sudden.
